Woodvalley was commissioned to build a new drive-through Starbucks within the car park of Gateway Retail Park, Beckton in London.

The works consisted of a new build shell and core finish, with piled foundations, steel frame and concrete floor. The outer building envelope consisted of a new composite panel roof and curtain walling system with a new glazed façade.

Major configuration works were involved in the project and a significant challenge was carrying out the works adjacent to three major gas mains supplies that ran across the site from Beckton Gas Works.

Woodvalley successfully engaged and collaborated with the statutory authorities to ensure detailed phasing and sequencing of the works and full compliance with standards and procedures before any work commenced.

Alongside the main building works, Woodvalley also reconfigured car parking facilities and completed hard and soft landscaping.
